Equipping the Next Generation Since 1993
The U.S. military has a longstanding tradition of shaping capable young adults, strong teams, and effective leaders. Since 1993, National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Programs (NGYCP) have instilled the same values and disciplines in thousands of teens across the nation, setting them up for success through a transformative quasi-military experience designed with youth in mind.
Launched in 2015 and now active in eight states, Job ChalleNGe is a follow-on program for Youth ChalleNGe graduates, offering them the opportunity to build on their success through career training, credentialing, and job placement support.
Together, Youth ChalleNGe and Job ChalleNGe are equipping the next generation with the academic, personal, and professional foundation they need to thrive as they enter adulthood.

Thunderbird Challenge Program (TCP) is one of the top Youth Challenge programs in the nation, providing a quasi-military leadership academy for Oklahoma teens who are ready to unlock their full potential.
Located in Pryor, Oklahoma, Thunderbird is a 22-week, tuition-free residential program for youth ages 15½ to 18. Whether you’re looking to catch up on high school credits, graduate early, prepare for the GED, improve your physical fitness and self-discipline, or strengthen your leadership skills, Thunderbird is a life-changing opportunity to take control of your future and gain the confidence, tools, and support you need to thrive.
After graduating from Thunderbird, you will then be qualified to apply for Sooner Job ChalleNGe, where you can build on your experience at Thunderbird while receiving career training and job placement support.
